Bull Moose Barbeque is a full-service catering company and competition BBQ team located in Dallas, Georgia started in 2016. My wife and I have a passion for cooking (and eating!) great BBQ and we wanted to share our passion with the world.
The Bull Moose name comes from Teddy Roosevelt, who, while campaigning for president was shot in the chest. He went on to deliver a 90-minute speech and, when he was asked how he felt afterward, replied that he was “Fit as a bull moose.” We admire his tenacity so we decided to honor him by naming our company Bull Moose Barbeque.
Our name, however, is the only thing tough about us! All of our meat is slow-smoked on a reverse-flow offset stick burner, using only Georgia Oak and fruit woods, until it is melt-in-your-mouth tender with a sweet smoke flavor. We believe that this process, while labor-intensive, gives the most authentic results and you can taste it in every bite.
